Simon is recognised as an expert in the field of digital broadcast and media archive technology and has presented at international conferences such as IBC, NAB and to the International Federation of Television Archives. He has authored published white papers on encoding technologies published by the National Association of Broadcasters in the US and is part of the user group of the EU 6th Framework IST project 'Presto Space'. Simon founded Moving Media in early 2003 and is Managing Director of the company, previously Simon was Operations Director for APT Inc (Audio Processing Technology) in the USA and Canada and has held senior business oriented positions for companies such as Roland Musical Equipment Corp and Aro in his native country of Ireland. Simon holds a M.Sc. International Business from Trinity College Dublin and is a qualified audiovisual engineer.
